Fran Davidson Human Service Worker of the Month

December 19, 2011

Intercept’s Human Service Worker of the Month is Fran Davison, probation officer with Fairfax CSU.  Fran is honored this month due to her great support for the youth in our program, encouraging nature with the youth, dedication to the youth, vast knowledge of her cases, and her being a pleasure to work with.

Fran has worked in the J & D court system since 1982.  She started her career at the detention center as an outreach worker, then became a probation/parole officer.  In 2000 Fran started to work with DJJ clients and special placement clients, in 2005 she was promoted to POIII.  2 years ago she became the Assistant Director of Special Services.  Fran received her BA and Criminal Justice Certificate from Rutgers University, a coaching certificate from Middlesex County Community College in NJ, and her Master’s in Education from George Mason University.

Fran states “My favorite part of working with youth is seeing the “aha moment” when they finally understand what all the adults have been trying to tell them.  I also like to see when they succeed at whatever, walk across the stage for their diploma, earn a scholarship for school or other awards and turn their life around in a positive direction.”

Thank you Fran for your years of hard work and dedication to the youth and families that we serve.
